How does one prep for their wedding day? There are a ton of way but here are a handful of quick and simple ideas that will help ensure you look your best on your big day.  So once you have nailed down your wedding menus and wedding program the next step in your plan should be these simple ideas to ensure your wedding day goes as smoothly as possible.

Stay Hydrated

Let us start with a good night’s rest and drinking tons of water 24 hours before. This will help your skin glow and will obviously hydrate yourself. Being hydrated will make it so your lips aren’t crusty and it will prevent dark circles under your eyes. The day before make sure you have your nail and pedicure appointment ready so you can walk down the aisle with perfect fingers and toes.

Setting Spray

Make sure you always have a touch up kit on hand you never know if your make up is going to melt. Always have a little Urban Decay setting spray that lasts 24 hours and will actually prevent the melting of the $100 dollar face of makeup you paid for this morning.

Emergency Bag

Lip gloss needs to be in hand at all times as well. Other things to pack for the special day are nude panties, an extra pair of stockings, a pair of flats just in case your feet hurt. Make sure you have a change of clothes for the receptions, and some wipes to give yourself a little bit of a freshen upper. That might be a little too much info for an article but why would you be reading this if you didn’t want to know this.

Foundation

A great foundation hack if you are doing your own makeup for the big day is just a few steps.

1. Moisturize your face
2. Put your translucent powder on your face lightly then spray with a setting spray. Wait for the setting spray to dry.
3. Put your foundation on with a beauty blender.
4. Then continue with your standard makeup application.

This will make your foundation look absolutely amazing and will last all day without creasing. THEN spritz your face with another little mist of your setting spray of choice.

Backup Bra

Make sure you bring a back up stick on bra in case of emergencies . It doesn’t matter if your dress is strapless or has sleeves it is the best way to avoid any type of extra unnecessary straps. Layering with a wedding dress is not a good idea, you want less layers because you will already be hot in the dress of your dreams.This will allow you to breathe better and not have to step aside to freshen up too many times.

There aren’t really too many beauty essentials. Before your wedding day you should be trying different beauty hacks to see what sits with your skin especially if you have sensitive skin like I do. So take your beautiful face to your wedding venue, get ready and go marry the love of your life. Because the most important beauty essential is your happiness. Don’t let stress get you down or add frown lines to your perfectly done makeup. Just smile and walk down the aisle.
