Beauty Review: Innisfree’s Apple Seed Deep Cleanser
It’s no secret that Korean beauty products have taken the world by storm- and Innisfree is among those at the forefront.
Due to its reasonable prices and eco-friendly policies, Innisfree has easily wormed its way onto my list of favorite beauty brands. I tend to only like one product from a single brand and call it a day, which isn’t very easy for me. We are here, however.
My appreciation for Innisfree grew even more when I received a generous sample package from them. I wrote this blog post as a result of this experience. For more information, visit ordinaryvietnam.net.
The Apple Seed Deep Cleansing Foam (RM39.31) is part of the Apple Seed Cleansing Kit Series that I will be reviewing today.
What is it?
Innisfree’s foam cleanser boasts “the vitality of apple seeds” but is, despite its marketing jargon, pretty standard. Considering that cleansers aren’t intended to be worn on your face for a long time, this isn’t surprising. It’s a clean-and-rinse deal, as you might expect.
The point is, that doesn’t mean you can buy any cleanser you want. There is a difference in effectiveness between products, and everyone’s skin is different. The problem cannot be solved in a one-size-fits-all manner.
But I digress.
On the official website, it is stated that the Apple Seed Deep Cleansing Foam performs the following functions:
- It thoroughly and delicately removes makeup residue and impurities from the pores with its dense and abundant lather
- You can keep your skin looking and feeling healthy with the formulation that contains apple extract and apple seed oil.
- Enjoy a refreshing cleansing experience with apple fragrance
Quite standard, isn’t it? Right.
How does it feel?
It has a creamy texture and a clean, artificial scent tinged with apple. After a while, I don’t mind using scented products all that much now that I’m getting used to them. Though I’m not a fan of them, at least this one isn’t overwhelming.
I find this cleanser to be easy to use and works well in removing oil and dirt from my face. Whenever I tone my cotton pad after cleaning, I almost never see yellow residue left behind.
What’s even better? There is no tight feeling on my skin after using this Apple Seed product. A girl can pretty much ask for nothing more from a cleanser.
Packaging
White and bright green are the main colours incorporated into the design, giving it a youthful, fresh appearance.
It’s nothing extraordinary, but its functionality does the job as much as its aesthetic minimalist appeal. You can squeeze that creamy cleanser out in just one squeeze, and once you’re done, you only have to snap the cap back on.
End result
I enjoyed using the product; it’s nice to use a product that does exactly what it says it will. I haven’t experienced any tightness or dryness even after using it several times. In fact, I’d even say it kept my face oil-free for the majority of the day- even though my skin is very oily.
I recently tried a Hado Labo cleanser that was quite the nightmare.
I would like to mention, however, that since I have extremely oily skin, this product would probably not be suitable for dry skin types.
Is it available anywhere?
Innisfree.
Verdict
- Product rating: 4/5
- Packaging rating: 5/5
This might actually end up being a purchase for me in the future.
